Rocketlane enhances your onboarding experience by enabling your internal teams and customers to access all documents related to a project from one single space. You can read more about Private and Shared Spaces here.
To create or add a document to a template or project, click a phase in the shared or private spaces section where the document needs to reside. You can add or embed a document or file using three options:
- Blank document
- Embed URL
- Use a template

Creating a native Rocketlane document
- Open the document editor page to create a native Rocketlane document by clicking Blank document. Give the document a title and add content.

- Use the toolbar to change formatting and add tables, images, panels, and tasks to the document.

- Add panels to the document to highlight important sections and information.

- Highlight the native Rocketlane document’s content to add tasks and comments, both private and public. Use the window to the right of the document editor to collaborate internally and externally and access all the comments and tasks related to this document.

- You can also embed tasks within a document.

- You can also create multiple documents in a phase by clicking the + button at the top of the editor.
Embedding external documents and files
- To add documents that are created outside of Rocketlane, click Embed URL. Paste the document URL and click Embed.

- Collaborate and add tasks to these documents by clicking the Conversations button on top of the document.

Creating a document from a template
In addition to this, Rocketlane allows you to turn native Rocketlane documents into document templates. This way, you do not need to create these documents from scratch each time, and you can use them across multiple templates or projects. More information on this is available here.
To create a document from a template, click Use a template and choose the required document template from the template list.
