Rocketlane projects give your team a single place to plan, organise, and manage work - from scheduling tasks and tracking timelines to sharing files and communicating with teammates.

  1. Click the Projects icon from the panel on the left side of the screen.

  2. In the Projects page, click New project from the top-right.

  3. The New project dialog box opens.

  4. Select a Customer name.
  5. Enter a name under Project name.
  6. Select a status from the dropdown under Project status.

  7. Select a template under Choose a project template to build the project from an existing template. Use Add another template to combine phases from multiple templates if needed.

  8. Assign a Start date to the project.

  9. Assign a Due date to the project.
TipIf you are using a template, the Due date is auto-calculated based on your Start date and the duration of the template.
  10. Click Next: Teammates to assign team members.

  11. By default, the Project Owner is set to your name. You can change the project owner and choose other team members. You can also assign the role of Champion and invite members from the customer's team by providing their email addresses.

  12. Set project viewing permissions for your team members under Team Visibility.
  13. Click Next: Additional information to add any remaining project details.

  14. Click Create project to complete setup.

  15. After the project is created, the Project plan view is displayed. If your project uses a template, the template's phases and tasks are reflected here.
