Rocketlane lets you share saved views with only the people who need to see them, reducing clutter and ensuring the right teams see the right data.
When saving a view (filters, columns, groupings, etc.), you can now control who gets access:
Private: Keep the view just for yourself.
Everyone: Share it across your organization.
Specific users and groups: Choose exactly who can see the view.
This update helps streamline dashboards and workspaces; especially for large teams managing multiple roles, departments, or customer segments.
Where You Can Use This
This feature is available anywhere you can save filters and views in Rocketlane. That includes:
Project list views
Tasks
Time tracking
Resource requests
Invoices
Any custom list-based modules
How to Share a Saved View
When Creating a New View
Apply your filters, columns, and grouping preferences.
Click Save View.
Under Visibility, choose:
Just Me
Everyone
Specific Users or Groups
Click Save.
Editing Existing Views
Open the saved view.
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) > Edit View.
Update the visibility settings.
Save your changes.
Note: Only the creator of a saved view can change its visibility. Other users will retain view-only access unless shared explicitly.
Access and Permissions
All other aspects of view access—such as what data is visible within the view—are still governed by existing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) permissions.
This means even if a view is shared with a group, users can only see the data they have permission to view.
